Winter Has Come

We seldom get such cold weather this far south... down to minus 10-15 degrees Celsius on some nights! And minus degrees during daytime as well. But it's beautiful, I have to give it that.

Today I shall spend mostly indoors in front of a fire, writing about the destiny of poor Túrin for my story Thranduil's Shadow.

My Danish-Swedish farmdog during our morning walk today. :)

Saturday Bliss

Rainy October Saturday somewhere in southwestern Sweden. Hubby watches hockey, kids are in their rooms (using phones and/or computers probably) and I'm writing a new chapter for my Thranduil story, right now with Dynamite by Taio Cruz in my ears. Can't complain!

Thranduil's Shadow

In this story I attempt to explain how the Elvenking became so cold and angry. I plan to follow Thranduil from his youth until his son Legolas is born, and since Thranduil was born in the First Age there will be many thousands of years to cover... Some time jumps will happen. :)

“You make it sound so easy.” He sighed.
“It is easy. We undress. We pray to Eru. We do it.”

Summary:

Impulsive and young, Thranduil brings back Aerneth to Doriath as his wife, making his abusive father furious. Through the Ages their hasty marriage is shadowed by war and death, dragons and dark lords, betrayal and kinslayings. How can they ever find healing and love?

– Or, the Silmarillion from Thranduil’s perspective.

Pairings: Thranduil x Aerneth (OC)

Rating: M
